Who We Are

There is something about an automobile that brings people together. For generations, cars have represented freedom, independence, craftsmanship, hard work, and possibility. They carry us to work and school, connect families and communities, and for many people, provide the first glimpse of what it means to take responsibility for something of their own. For others, learning how automobiles work becomes the beginning of a lifelong career.

At Resurrection Motors Inc., we believe those connections can be used for an even greater purpose.

Resurrection Motors is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization committed to serving young people, families, and our community through automotive education, opportunity, and service. Our faith in Jesus Christ is at the heart of that mission. We believe the abilities, experiences, resources, and opportunities God places in our lives are not meant to be kept to ourselves, but used in ways that serve others and create opportunities for the next generation.

Today, that calling is leading Resurrection Motors in three important directions.

One begins with the responsibility of learning to drive. Earning a driver's license is an exciting milestone in a young person's life, but it also places tremendous responsibility in their hands. Through the planned Resurrection Motors Christian Driving Academy, we want to help prepare young people not merely to pass a written examination or road test, but to become safe, confident, and responsible drivers. Professional driver education will be joined by practical knowledge about the vehicles students operate, helping them better understand maintenance, safety, roadside situations, and the responsibility they carry for everyone who shares the road with them.

Another begins with the young person who looks at an automobile and sees more than transportation. They see an engine they want to understand, a damaged body they want to repair, a problem they want to diagnose, or perhaps a career they never realized was within reach.

The automotive industry offers meaningful careers in technology, mechanical repair, collision repair, fabrication, restoration, diagnostics, and many other skilled fields. Yet education, tools, certifications, and training can create significant financial barriers for someone trying to get started. Through the Resurrection Motors Automotive Scholarship Program, we hope to help close that gap. As donors and partners make funding possible, we intend to invest in students who are willing to learn, work hard, develop their abilities, and take meaningful steps toward a future in the automotive industry.

For that mission to endure, however, it must also be sustainable.

That is why Resurrection Motors is building an Automotive Marketplace designed to bring the classic and collector car community into the mission itself. Supporting members will have the opportunity to market qualifying vehicles while helping generate resources that can be reinvested into automotive scholarships, transportation assistance for families in need, and the development of the Driving Academy. It is a way for a shared passion for automobiles to become something larger than the automobile itself.

These are the priorities before us today, but they are only the beginning.

Over time, we envision Resurrection Motors growing into additional areas of automotive education and service, including hands-on classic-car restoration classes and other opportunities for young people to learn alongside experienced professionals. Those future programs will come in their proper season. We believe growth should follow stewardship, not outrun it. Each new chapter should be built only when the people, partnerships, knowledge, and resources exist to build it well.

Through all of this, our identity remains unchanged.

We are a Christian organization, but the people we serve do not have to be Christians to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Our faith does not give us a reason to serve only those who believe as we do. Our faith is the reason we serve in the first place.

Some people will become part of Resurrection Motors because they need an opportunity. Others will come because they have something to give. A student may need help paying for automotive school. A parent may be searching for better driver education for a son or daughter. A retired technician may have forty years of knowledge worth passing along. A business may have tools, equipment, or resources to contribute. A collector may simply want a better way to market a classic automobile while supporting something meaningful.

Different people. Different gifts. Different circumstances. One opportunity to put those things to work for others.

Because ultimately, Resurrection Motors is not simply about automobiles.

Cars may be what bring us together. They may provide the classroom, create the career, generate the resources, or start the conversation. But they are only the vehicle through which something more important can happen.

People are the purpose. Christ is the foundation. Service is the calling.

That is who we are.
