Resurrection Motors Inc.: Restoring Cars, Transforming Families
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Colorado Springs, CO – May 27, 2025 – Resurrection Motors Inc. proudly announces its launch as a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring classic vehicles to positively impact children and families experiencing hardship and loss. Just as Genesis marked the beginning, today marks ours—bringing renewed hope, support, and community through the restoration of cars and lives alike.
Founded by Aaron M. Winter, Resurrection Motors combines a passion for classic car restoration with a deep commitment to community service and faith-based values. Winter brings extensive leadership experience, having served 27 years at Colorado Springs' historic Flying W Ranch, including eight years as the Executive Director of the Flying W Ranch Foundation following the devastating Waldo Canyon Fire in 2012. He currently serves as the General Manager for Aramark Destinations at Pikes Peak.
Winter’s personal journey significantly influenced the mission of Resurrection Motors. Once an atheist, his life underwent profound transformation after reading the Bible and regularly attending Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Black Forest, CO. Through scripture, Aaron developed a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ, finding strength and inspiration in passages like Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Books such as Lee Strobel’s "A Case for Christ," Trent Horn’s "Why We’re Catholic," and James Clear’s "Atomic Habits" further guided his faith and vision.
“Small actions lead to profound impacts,” says Winter. “Restoring a car requires patience, precision, and dedication—qualities we also embrace as we support families facing overwhelming struggles. Our mission extends beyond mechanical restoration; we offer comfort, stability, and hope deeply rooted in faith and community.”
The vision for Resurrection Motors is profoundly inspired by Aaron’s father, Linder Winter, who fostered Aaron’s love for classic cars. Linder, who currently battles dementia, dedicated his life to serving others—as a respected teacher and as a ranger at Pikes Peak for over 40 years. His passion for cars, reflected in his cherished collection including a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, a 1958 Chevy Delray, and a 1958 Ford Edsel Ranger, deeply influences Resurrection Motors' purpose and approach.
Resurrection Motors was also born out of Aaron’s heartfelt response to tragedies that have deeply impacted our society. “From devastating events like Sandy Hook, Uvalde, and Benghazi, to the staggering reality of over 390,000 children in foster care,” Winter explains, “these heartbreaking situations clarified my calling to build a ministry dedicated to healing and providing hope.” The organization actively seeks to offer tangible support to Gold Star Families, foster youth, and families mourning the loss of a child due to violence or illness.
Initially, Resurrection Motors will focus on community volunteer activities as it prepares to establish its restoration workshop. Plans include securing a garage, acquiring restoration tools, and identifying vehicles for restoration projects. Skilled volunteers interested in mentoring and teaching are warmly invited to join this meaningful cause.
